Advanced Premium Tax Credit (APTC)
The APTC subsidy is applied towards the cost of a Metal Plan purchased through a FFM or SBM public exchange, and is available for people with incomes below 400% of the Federal Poverty Level.
* The Advanced Premium Tax Credit (APTC) subsidy is based on the second lowest cost Silver Plan (Benchmark Silver Plan) offered on the public exchange. Rates for the Benchmark Silver Plan were released by Health & Human Services (HHS) on September 25, 2013. Final rates for the Benchmark Silver Plan and APTC subsidy are determined by the FFM and may vary slightly. Dependent rates assume non-tobacco minor children under 21.
